One has an eye for the smaller details, the other a talent for capturing the bigger picture. Together, they're a perfect mix of all things creative, but our studio just got better as this duo has expanded to a team of 3!

Dale and I came to NZ in 2016 to chase a new career amongst the tall mountain peaks and crystal blue rivers of Central Otago. We quickly fell in love with the scenic backdrop and the idea for White Fallow Studios was sparked. Weddings, families, restaurants, and the like are just a few of the things we love to photograph. No event is ever the same. Every couple has a unique story to tell. This is what makes a career in photography so remarkable. After having two beautiful baby boys and experiencing years of what NZ has to offer, we felt the call to move back home to Australia. We decided to launch a second studio, White Fallow Studios AU, by running a Trans-Tasman studio across both countries. With the helping hand of our newest photographer and little brother Adam, we are able to cover both of these beautiful countries and tell twice as many stories as before.

Dale first discovered his love of photography during a family wedding. After snapping a candid shot of the couple, who later used the photo as their thank-you card, Dale knew he'd found something he was passionate about. A few months later he purchased his first Nikon camera and began shooting every waking chance he had. Dale spent a few years shooting for a local music magazine, lucky enough to photograph talented Australian artists such as Missy Higgins, Guy Sebastian, and Jimmy Barns. He then fell into a rewarding and fulfilling role as an in-house Photographer for the prestigious Peter Blackshaw Real Estate Agency. Dale has now been shooting housing and architecture for over 7 years.

It wasn't long before Dale booked his first wedding, expanding his talents and delving into the glamorous and romantic culture of weddings. His love of landscape photography gives his style of shooting a recognizable signature. Working as Dale’s assistant and second shooter at these weddings, I got my first taste of photography. It was obvious from the beginning I was drawn towards macro photography, discovering the finer details each couple puts into their special day.

Dale and I have explored the many different faces of photography - it has limitless possibilities. Musical talents, African wildlife, fine dining, product displays, love stories, baby faces, and everything in-between. We strive to stretch our creative minds even further and find those special moments worth capturing.

Introducing: Adam Wowk

Horror films, Video Games and all things nerdy is what I live for, I will always be a kid at heart. From a young age I had a knack for technology. If it had lights, a screen or beeped, I wanted it. This meant I was building computers in my spare time and reading comic books in my down time.

After a career spanning 9 years as a chef, bringing happiness to people through my love of food, I stumbled upon a new found passion in photography. Capturing those perfect moments that only come once in a lifetime was a whole new experience for me. As soon as I had a camera in my hand I was hooked!

Dale has guided me, not just as a little brother, but as a photographer through this new world and has opened up door after door. We are not just a company, we are a family and a team like no other.
